  1. Discriminant models were constructed to distinguish between healthy volunteers, moderately ill patients, and severely ill patients (Model 1); healthy volunteers and COVID-19 patients presenting with moderate or severe disease (Model 2); or moderately ill and severely ill COVID-19 patients (Model 3). Model variables are listed in the order they were incorporated into the model. Correction for multiple testing was performed using Holm method60.
  2. NK cells natural killer cells, en27NK CD27+ NK cells, en38NK CD38+ NK cells, actNeut activated HLA-DR+ neutrophils, imGran Ki67+ immature granulocytes, Temra CD27CD45RA+ effector memory CD8+ T cells, actNB CD21+CD27Ki67+ B cells, actSMB CD21CD27+CD38lo B cells.
