Variant type and age of onset. The difference in age of onset among the three groups was statistically significant (p = 0.0014, Kruskal–Wallis test). All cases of truncating variants developed NF2 prior to the age of 20 years. The median age of onset of truncating variant cases was significantly lower than that of the ‘not detected’ cases (p = 0.0151).
