  1. Enzyme assays with hydrazides and amides as substrates were performed using colorimetric methods that monitored the formation of hydrazine and ammonia, respectively. Lineweaver–Burk plots were used to calculate the Vmax and Km values. Data represent means of triplicate values obtained from three separate data sets. Standard deviations are shown in parentheses.
