Statistical power (fraction of occasions when the test correctly encourages the inference that the two samples are drawn from different distributions) for each of the six tests being compared. Both samples were drawn from different unimodal wrapped skew normal (WSN) distributions with the same dispersion (ρ = 2) and shape (α = 30) but different mean directions. For the first sample the mean direction was fixed at 0°, for the second the value ranged from 0° to 180° as given on the x-axis. Rates were calculated on the basis of 10,000 replicates. Different panels refer to different combinations of sample sizes.
