Figure 6

(a) Total RDF between nitroxide N nuclei of PTMA (black), split into contributions from intramolecular (blue) and intermolecular (red) radicals. Intra- and inter-molecular contributions of neighbouring N radicals are mainly originating from 0.68–0.94 nm and 0.45–0.6 nm peaks, respectively. By integrating the RDF for the respective peaks, average coordination numbers of neighbours per radical for intra- and inter-molecular contributions were found to be 1.45 and 0.28, respectively. (b) Distance dependence of Marcus rate (\(k_\text {hop}\), blue diamonds) and the Marcus coupling (\(H_\text {RP}\), red dots) is analysed for \({\hbox {TEMPO}^{+}}\)–\({\hbox {TEMPO}^{\mathbf{.}}}\) pairs.
