Predicted lethality is based on the number of misrepaired DSBs for each scenario as a function of fraction time. Bottom: Measured DSB damage foci (points) compared to modelled kinetics assuming that alpha particle foci represent clusters of breaks (dashed lines). This modelling approach effectively reproduces observed trends in both assays, without assuming a different in quality or repair half-life for DSBs.
