Scanning electron microscopy reveals biofilm formation of Staphylococcus epidermidis on multiple material types. Each strain was grown in a continuous-flow stir tank bioreactor for 72 h along with a series of coupons or different material types. Silicone, PTFE, polyurethane, polycarbonate, and titanium are indicated in respective bars. Scale bars are indicated on the respective micrographs.
