Fmr1 KO males have increased GABAergic innervation. (a) GABAA receptors in the POMC neuron soma were quantified; (b) synaptic GABAA receptors were quantified as appositions of GABAγ2 and VGAT in POMC neurons. GABAA (red), VGAT (green), POMC (grey). At least 20 neurons per mouse were quantified and the average for each mouse was represented with a point, while bars present genotype average.
