Comparison of results regarding two introduced approaches, where first method includes a thresholding step for each pixel in output image and second method presents the exact value of each pixel, which is a value between zero and one. Note that both methods share the same structure. Although the majority of the results obtained from the proposed method were satisfactory, there were some outputs with inaccurate tumor detection, as shown in the figure. Interestingly, the use of non-binary output for each pixel improved the tumor detection, suggesting the potential for further refinement through a proper filtering process based on the value of each pixel. With such improvements, the quality of the final output can be further enhanced.
