(c) Schematic model that correlates the features of the nanocrystals inside the fiber core, for a given solution concentration, with the Rayleigh scattering enhancement and optical attenuation plotted in (a) and (b), as a function of drawing temperature. Inhomogeneous scattering appears above 2000 ºC due to the impact of temperature on the initial nanocrystal features.
