Mean standard metabolic rate (SMR; red horizontal lines), mean time to reach 50% of MMR (MMR50; vertical dotted lines) and the mean ± SEM time to reach 20% of SMR (duration of recovery, i.e., duration of EPOC; vertical dashed lines) are indicated.
