A 53-year-old male shepherd diagnosed with L3-4 brucella spondylitis underwent one-stage posterior interbody fusion and debridement procedure. Preoperative X-ray revealed intervertebral height loss and significant narrowing of the affected disc space. Preoperative CT and MRI scans exhibited erosions of the superior and inferior endplates, along with evidence of nerve compression. (a–d) Postoperative X-ray and CT images demonstrated satisfactory positioning of the internal fixation and cage. (e–f) The final follow-up conducted at 26 months indicated successful bone fusion following the removal of instrumentation, as evidenced by radiographic and CT examinations (g–h).
