Probability of extinction for each clonotype, \({\mathcal {U}}^{i}_{{\textbf{n}}_{0}}\), in the four scenarios with hard and soft niche cases (for clonotype 1) as a function of the initial number of cells in clonotype 1, calculated using the method described in Appendix H in the Supplementary Material. The initial number of cells of the other two clonotypes is the mean of the QSD of their two-dimensional competition process, namely \((n_{2}, n_{3})=(8,8)\).
