The tree was constructed based on single-copy orthologs to show divergence times, computed by MCMCTree in the PAML v4.9j package. Homo sapiens was included as an outgroup. The numbers of expanded (green) and contracted (red) gene families are shown at the nodes in the phylogenetic tree and were determined using CAFE v4.2.1.
