The labeling in B showcases the five principal currents and their flow regions, forming the circulation pattern in the Gulf of Guinea: SECC (south equatorial counter-current), SEC (south equatorial current), GC (Guinea current), NECC (north equatorial counter-current), and CC (canary current). The calculations and the maps were produced with a Python (3.10.9) script.
