From: Evaluation of a decellularized bronchial patch transplant in a porcine model

Immunological profile of cells infiltrating the decellularized bronchus. With regards to myeloperoxidase (MPO) positive staining, no difference was observed between the control group and the decellularized bronchus at two months post-operatively (a,b). Similar findings were observed for CD11b + (c,d) and CD3 + (e,f) cells. The infiltrative cells are seen in the submucosal layer of the graft in the decellularized bronchus group (b,d,f), which is similar to the control group (a,c,e) after 2 months.
