Comparison of MTT assay and CDy6 staining for monitoring long-term culture of HaCaT cells. (A) HaCaT cells were stained with CDy6 (100 ng/mL) and cultured for 7 days, and live cell fluorescence images were obtained using a confocal microscope, as described in the Materials and methods section. (B) The absorbance spectra of the CLV-DMSO and MTT assay products were measured with an ELISA reader for each group (blue, 1 days incubation; pink, 7 days incubation). Data represent the mean ± SD of from three independent experiments performed in triplicate as a percentage of the 1 days.
