Projected spatial variability in almond bloom time. Bloom day of the year (DOY) between 32 (February 1st) and 90 (April 1st) across the California Central Valley. To account for year-to-year variability, we conducted four different simulations for 2050 and 2100 based on the winters of 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. The white area represents land area unsuitable for almond production.
