Screening for translational enhancement of c-Myc mRNA by the PPR-eIF4G fusion gene. c-Myc mRNA 5′ UTR and the target position of the designed PPR-eIF4G fusion gene (cP1-4G to cP64-4G); 64 PPR proteins of 18 nt recognition were designed to cover the 5′ UTR of c-Myc mRNA. c-Myc protein accumulation in HEK293 cells was analyzed by a homologous time-resolved fluorescence (HTRF) assay 2 d after transfection with the PPR-eIF4G fusion gene plasmids. Error bar indicates the standard deviation (N = 3).
