Results are fitted by an exponential law (Eq. (S42) in Supplementary Information, Sect. 7). It provides the characteristic time \(\tau \) of 1150 ± 119 s. (b) Evolution of the intensity \({I}_{mB}\) of mMexA bound to OprM with time. Results are fitted by an exponential law (Eq. S42). It provides the characteristic time \(\tau \) of 973 ± 151 s. These two results are compatible. The mean time \(\tau \) is deduced: \(\tau \) = 1061 ± 136 s.
