From: Proton-FLASH: effects of ultra-high dose rate irradiation on an in-vivo mouse ear model

A schematic image of the modified SNAKE beamline used for the FLASH experiments. New in this beamline is the operation of a chopper in front of the accelerator, which makes it possible to switch quickly between different dose rates. Additionally, a set of slits and lenses is used to prepare a homogenous irradiation field of 6.5 mm × 6.5 mm at the sample level.
