  1. All 254 children diagnosed with ASD and ASD-like behavior are shown in this table by gender, age (shown in average years old, and Standard Deviation (SD) in parenthesis). Delayed speech means impairment of verbal communication, one of the diagnostic criteria for ASD outlined in DSM-IV.
