Lipogenic genes are not induced by elder extracts in hepatic cells. Huh-7 cells were treated for 24 h with cold or hot extracts of either elder flowers or elder leaves (500 µg/mL), followed by RNA extraction. Relative mRNA expression of ABCA1 (A) LXRα (B), LXRβ (C), and FASN (D) and SREBP1 (E) was analyzed by RT-qPCR. Data from two independent experiments performed in duplicates are shown.
