FH is defined as the maximum distance between the lower edge of the superior pedicle and the upper edge of the inferior pedicle. (B) 3D Reconstruction of L4/L5 Foramen. Dotted circle indicates the bone boundary area (BBA) of the foramen. BBA is defined as the area enclosed by the posterior edge of the vertebral body, the lower edge of the superior pedicle, the anterior edge of the inferior articular process, the anterior edge of the superior articular process, and the upper edge of the inferior pedicle.
