Study site locations. The four study sites (red dots) are located in or close to the component parts of the UNESCO World Heritage area Kujataa in South Greenland (grey areas). Automated monitoring stations were installed at the sites. In addition, data from two official meteorological stations was used (black dots). Figure was generated by Jørgen Hollesen and is based on a Landsat satellite image obtained with Google Earth Pro v7.3.6 (https://earth.google.com/).
