Conversion of images to vectors and vice versa. (a) Basic operation of transformation of an image to a vector, forming a sequence representation of the numeric values of pixels. (b) Transforming a vector to a matrix, forming an image by encoding numerical values as pixels. During this operation if the vector size cannot be mapped to mXn because vector size is smaller than the nearest mXn, then it is padded with zeroes to the nearest mXn.
