From: Baicalin enhances the chemotherapy sensitivity of oxaliplatin-resistant gastric cancer cells by activating p53-mediated ferroptosis

Figure 4

Differences of iron homeostasis and ferroptosis key proteins between HGC27 and HGC27/L cells, and the changes of that on HGC27 and HGC27/L cells after baicalin treatment for 24 h. The expressions of IRP2, FTH1, GPX4 and TfR were detected by Western blotting. Comparison of these key proteins between HGC27 and HGC27/L cells (a, b). The expressions of these key proteins (cg) induced by baicalin was 100% in untreated cells. Representational images and quantitative bar charts are displayed. Significant differences between groups are indicated with *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, and ***p < 0.001, ns, not significant. Compared with the control group #p < 0.05, ##p < 0.01, ###p < 0.001, ns had no statistical significance.Data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation. FTH1, ferritin heavy chain 1; GPX4, peroxidase-4; IRP2, iron-regulatory protein 2; TfR, transferrin receptor. Experiments were performed in triplicate.
