From: PK/PD investigation of antiviral host matriptase/TMPRSS2 inhibitors in cell models
Inhibition of H1N1pdm multicycle replication in human airway cells by protease inhibitors. Calu-3 human airway cells were infected with H1N1pdm virus at a MOI of 0.001 and incubated in the presence of the indicated inhibitors for 48 h. Untreated (w/o) and DMSO-treated cells served as controls. Virus titers in supernatants were determined as plaque-forming units/mL (pfu/mL) at 24 and 48 h. Data are mean values ± SD (n = 3).
