From: Boreal moss-microbe interactions are revealed through metagenome assembly of novel bacterial species

Novel species-level metagenome-assembled genomes obtained with co-assembly. From inner to outer layers: proportion of guanine and cytidine in assembly nucleotides (% GC), genome size (length, Mbp), number of contigs in each MAG, length of the shortest of the largest contigs required to cover 50% of the total assembly length (N50) and quality score (QS). The inner section shows the phylogenetic tree of 110 metagenome-assembled genomes constructed using PhyloPhlAn and built phylogenetic trees using the ggtree package, allowing a cross-validation with their assigned taxonomy in the GTDB database. Two clades were renamed using NCBI taxonomy, as the GTDB nomenclature used illegitimate names: Nostocales (Cyanobacteriales) and Hyphomicrobiales (Rhizobiales). The different colored dots on the branches of the tree correspond to the colors of the bacterial orders listed in the legend.
