The differences between aggressive and non-aggressive per CG locus have been tested using the Mann-Whitney statistical test and the significance is indicated in the top of each plot, with “ns” implying no significant differences in the beta values between aggressive and non-aggressive and * indicating a p-value less than 0.05. Only one locus displays significant differences. This is expected because the parenclitic network approach identifies CG loci, variation in which is likely to have a widespread effect in the methylation, instead of CG loci with locus-specific differences in DNA methylation.
