Fault identification workflow. The fault identification occurs in three steps, namely identification of the relevant faults with clustering, providing groups of faults to be labeled with expert knowledge, subsequently establishing statistical features to automatically detect substations affected by the labeled faults and assign a numerical value to quantify the (negative) impact of the faulty substation on the system to prioritize measures with thermodynamic fundamental relationships.
