During coronavirus infection, spike proteins expressed on the cell membrane bind to the virus receptor to facilitate cell‒cell fusion. The aggregation of Tau proteins functionally restores Gluc activities that is released into the culture medium, enabling high-throughput measurement of Gluc activity without cell lysis.
