Alternative immunization strategy for the EAMG mouse model: study rationale and timeline. Animals were bilaterally immunized in the footpads or hocks and over the scapulas at the beginning of week 1, with booster immunizations in the thighs and over the scapulas at week 5. All animals underwent regular tests, including body weight measurement (weekly), clinical scoring (2 times per week) and muscle strength tasks (inverted mesh and rack grabbing, weekly). Additionally, blood sampling and von Frey measurements were conducted every other week. Before euthanasia (typically at the end of week 12), animals underwent electromyography with curare infusion (if required), and muscle dissection for post-mortem analyses.
