Panels (d–f) show a culture of the same E. coli strain after flocculation with compound 8, observed under the same conditions: (d) green channel, (e) blue channel, and (f) merged image. The green signal corresponds to fluorescence of the bacterial GFP, while the blue signal corresponds to the intrinsic fluorescence of compound 8 (λex = 318 nm, (λem = 376 nm). Scale bar: 10 μm.
