Cell viability of BSC-40 cells infected with VACV. Cells were infected at different multiplicities of infection (MOI) (0.1, 1 and 10) and followed for 3, 6, 12, and 24 h post infection (hpi). (A) Cell morphology. The cytopathic effect observed (cell death) is proportional to the MOI used. (B) Cell viability. Cells were fixed with formalin, stained with 1% violet cristal, and desitometry was measured in ImageJ software.
