Retraction of: Scientific Reports https://doi.org/10.1038/s41598-024-78092-0, published online 14 November 2024 .
The Editors have retracted this Article because of concerns regarding the figures presented in this work. An investigation conducted after its publication discovered the following issues:
-
The Masson staining panels labelled Day 7/UUO and Day 14/UTI in Figure 1A appear to overlap with each other;
-
The α-SMA panels labelled Day 3/SOR and Day 7/SOR in Figure 1F appear to overlap partially with each other;
-
Panels T+UTI in Figure 2 and T+si-NC+UTI in Figure 7A appear to overlap with each other;
-
Panels TGF-β1 in Figure 2E and T + si-NC in Figure 7B appear to overlap partially with each other;
-
Panels T+UTI in Figure 2E and T+si-NC and T+si-NC+UTI in Figure 7B appear to overlap partially with one another;
-
Panels Day 3/SOR and Day 14/SOR in Figure 3E appear to overlap partially with each other;
-
Panels Day 3/UUO and Day 7/UTI in Figure 3E appear to overlap partially with each other.
The panels in question represent cells or tissues subject to different experimental conditions. The Editors therefore no longer have confidence in the integrity of the research presented in this Article.
Xuejiao Wei, Mengtuan Long, Zhongyu Fan, Yue Hou, Liming Wang and Yujun Du disagree with this retraction.
