Table 1 Clustering of consistent differentially expressed genes (DEGs) identified by the two meta-analysis techniques used in this work (Fisher’s method and INCT). The consistent DEGs are categorized into two main groups: (1) Core DEGs: genes identified as DEGs in the two DEAs showing the higher expression within the same group (High-KKCF or Low-KKCF); and (2) maternal nutritionally protein restricted (MNPR)-responsive DEGs: genes whose expression is altered because of the MNPR. The MNPR-responsive DEGs are further subdivided into Inverse-High and Inverse-Low categories, depending on the group where they showed higher expression in the MNPR-DEA.
