Expression analysis of the MsSOS2 gene in a salt-tolerant genotype (‘SISA 14-1’) and a salt-sensitive genotype (‘SISA10’) in response to salinity, using RT-qPCR. In this experiment, 10 leaves were used per biological replicate, and five independent biological replicates were used (n = 5). The y-axis shows relative normalized expression, while the x-axis indicates the expression levels of MsSOS2 from 0 to 48 h in the leaves of the ‘SISA 14-1’ (blue) and the ‘SISA 10’ (orange) alfalfa plants, respectively. Error bars represent the standard error (± SE). For statistical analysis, a two-way ANOVA and a Tukey’s HSD test were used to show statistical differences in MsSOS2 expression at indicated time points, both within and between the two lines. Different letters above the error bars indicate a significant difference (P < 0.05), while the same letters indicate no significant difference.
