Identification and morphological analysis of two hepatic mitochondrial subpopulations, peridroplet mitochondria (PDM) and cytoplasmic mitochondria (CM), based on lipid droplet interaction. Images were processed using the Empanada plugin within the Napari environment for deep-learning-based mitochondrial segmentation.
