EDX spectrum of the prepared NHAP sample showing the Ca and P contents. The elemental analysis revealed that the sample tested had a Ca/P ratio of approximately 1.72, relatively near the standard value of 1.67, the theoretical ratio for apatite. This finding validates the practical synthesis of NHAP powder.
