From: The Amerigo Vespucci as a traveling laboratory for studying the cosmic-ray fluxes at sea level
Cosmic-ray rate map measured on board the Vespucci vessel during its journey from Darwin to Trieste. The color gradient shows the rate values from 2.8 Hz (dark blue) to 3.5 Hz (dark red) with grid spacing resolution of \(0.25 \times 0.25 ~deg^2\). The cities on the map refer to the main stops of the Vespucci. The map was generated using the Matplotlib Basemap toolkit14 version 1.4.0 (https://matplotlib.org/basemap/1.4.0/users/index.html).
