Effect of ZPT Administration on Intestinal Tumour Formation of ApcMin/+ Mice. ApcMin/+ and wild-type mice were administered intraperitoneally with ZPT, dipyrithione or the vehicle 3 days per week for 11 weeks. The number of mice (n) for each group is shown in Fig. B. Tumours in one longitudinal section in the middle position of the ‘Swiss roll’ of the small intestine of each mouse were subjected to H&E staining (A) and classified into hyperplasias, low-grade adenomas, high-grade adenomas and adenocarcinomas as described in Methods. Shown are the total numbers of the tumours per mouse (B) and the percentages of hyperplasias, low-grade adenomas, high-grade adenomas and adenocarcinomas (C).
