  1. The table presents descriptive statistics and univariable comparisons for the variables considered in the multivariable models, including demographic characteristics, baseline clinical and metabolic factors, and other variables associated with AGA or the MASLD–AGA relationship. In addition, TyG index, carbohydrate intake, and fiber intake are included at the end of the table, as these variables were only used for subgroup analyses in subsequent models.
  2. Qualitative data are presented as frequencies (percentages) in the first part of the table, while quantitative data are presented as mean ± standard deviation in the second part.
  3. * P-values represent univariable comparisons between participants with and without AGA, and are computed using the chi-square test for qualitative variables and the Independent T-test test for quantitative variables; Significance level for the tests is set at 0.05.
  4. Abbreviations: MASLD, Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease; AGA; Androgenic Alopecia; BMI, Body Mass Index; GFR, Glomerular Filtration Rate; MET, Metabolic Equivalent of Task; SIRI, Systemic Inflammation Response Index.
