From: Surface structuring of glass with submicrometer features using selective laser etching
Top view of a structure containing two buried lensed waveguide channels with a cavity in between. The image was taken after the writing process and before the etching using a digital microscope containing polarizer and analyzer orientated perpendicularly to each other. The curvature of the lens is perpendicular to the imaging direction and is not visible in this top-view.
