Close-ups of surfaces of REF mortars subjected to 1000 °C. Photographed area 40 × 40 mm. Similar pattern of very fine cracks was visible on EP25, EP50 and EP75 subjected to 1000 °C. EP75 additionally exhibited thicker cracks similar to EP100.
