(b) After staining the cell nucleus with DAPI, the blue nucleus appears in the tissue section. (c) The image of Qdot labeled cells in the tissue section appears bright red/bright orange (x200 magnification). (d) The merged image of Qdot-labeled cells expressing α-SMA in a skin section (x1000 magnification). Fluorescence microscope intensity analysis of the cells shows that Qdot labeled cells express α-SMA at an average rate of 58%.
