Schematic workflow. Blood samples are used for tumorsphere-formation assay. CAMs are inoculated with patient-derived tumorspheres or samples of the primary tumor. After one week of cultivation on the CAM, the PDX that has grown is exoculated. The PDX is further used for whole slide staining. Figure created with BioRender.com.
