Flow chart of study population selection criteria. Figure 1 illustrates the process of selecting the study participants. Initially, LDL-C measurements were taken during hospitalization for patients with CAD. Subsequent measurements were recorded 6–18 months post discharge. After applying exclusion criteria, a total of 9,402 patients were included in the final cohort.
