From: ANGPTL3 regulates the peroxisomal translocation of SmarcAL1 in response to cell growth states

Silencing SmarcAL1 expression increased LD formation under the normal growth condition. (A) Reduced SmarcAL1 expression increases LD formation at the normal growth condition. Fc and Fc-Angptl3 (with two replicates) cells were transfected with SmarcAL1 siRNA (siRNA1 plus 2) and equivalent luciferase (Luc) siRNAs (three replicates for each). The siRNA-transfected Fc and Fc-Angptl3 cells were grown with DMEM media with 10% FBS at 37 oC. Images were obtained under light microscopy (left panels). Quantification of LD formation (right panels). (B) Western analysis of SmarcAL1 expression. Extracts from the transfected cells as in A were analyzed with Western blotting and detected with anti-SmarcAL1 and -cdc antibodies (left panels). See sFig. 11 for the full blot images. Quantification of SmarcAL1 expression (right panels). Quantification was based on the ratios of SmarcAL1 expression over cdc expression. The blots were quantified using ImageJ.
