  1. BMI, body mass index; VFA, visceral fat area; SFA, subcutaneous fat area; SBP, systolic blood pressure; DBP, diastolic blood pressure; TC, total cholesterol; LDL-c, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol; TG, triglyceride; HDL-c, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol; FBG, fasting blood glucose; HbA1c, glycosylated hemoglobin; ALT, alanine aminotransferase; AST, aspartate aminotransferase; FT3, free triiodothyronine; FT4, free thyroxine; TSH, thyroid-stimulating hormone; TPOAb, anti-thyroperoxidase antibody. UACR, urinary albumin to creatinine ratio; UA, uric acid; Scr, serum creatinine; eGFR, estimated glomerular filtration rate; Hb, hemoglobin; DR, diabetic retinopathy; MAU, microalbuminuria. Data were presented as mean ± SD for normally distributed variables, and median (interquartile ranges) for abnormal distributions which were log-transformed (base 10) before parametric tests. MAU was defined as 30 ≤ UACR < 300 mg/g. Correlation coefficients between UACR, MAU and different variables were determined by Pearson correlation analysis and Spearman’s correlation analysis, respectively.
